Happy 1st Birthday little girl......

This is past a month overdue.....but, you are One now. I can hardly believe it. I was even a little sad when I woke up on your birthday. My baby is growing up so fast. You are the most happy, cheerful little chick I have ever met. You love being involoved in whatever Dad and I are doing. Cooking fasinates you. I put you up on the counter so you can watch the whole process. Playing outside is one of your favorite activities. You pick up all the nuts that have fallen off the palm tree in our patio. (That's what you are holding in this picture.)You gather them like a little squirrel and try to put them in yout mouth when we aren't looking. Your dad and I are so proud of you and how much you have grown. We are going to have a great summer discovering new things and places.
I love you more everyday!

My little girl is growing up! She and I are two peas in a pod, spending our days discovering the world together. I'm trying to use her as an "etsy" model.....

I watched the "hope for Haiti" benefit on television tonight. I sat there crying my eyes out, looking at all the left behind children. Then I looked over at my own little girl, leaning against our couch, giving me the biggest smile. We have been so blessed! I wish there was something I could do for all those little children. How I would gladly have them all crowd into our house and give them warm food, clothes, and people to love on them! We must not forget to lift this poor nation and it's people up in our prayers to the only One who can truly deliver them.

Finally got the guts to open an etsy shop! I named the shop after my ever present partner in crime, Gorgeous Georgia!

spooky cat......

My neighbor, Melissa, is an amazing photographer!! And much to my benefit, Georgia is one of her favorite models! On halloween we went trick-or-treating with the neighborhood kids.Georgia was dressed up in a monkey suit, the animal which best defines her energy level! Melissa let Georgia hold her "spooky cat" flashlight all night. My furry little monkey loved it! She barely noticed the candy all the sweet neighbors were giving her, but she didn't want to put that glow cat down. It was such a great experience for our first Halloween here. People were sitting out in their driveways in lawn chairs and truckbeds with big buckets of candy. One even had next door neighbors over and were having a cookout! Everyone was so friendly. It made me happy to live in this community. At the end of the night, Melissa snapped this picture of Georgia.
